A leading UK university partnered with Trevonix to modernise its identity and access management ecosystem, replacing a legacy identity platform with a cloud-first architecture capable of supporting digital learning, stronger security and automated lifecycle management. The objective was to create a scalable identity foundation that could improve user experiences, strengthen governance and support future digital transformation initiatives.

Trevonix delivered a modern identity and access management programme to simplify identity operations, strengthen security, and improve the user experience across the university. The solution established Okta as the central identity control plane, integrating seamlessly with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and both on premises and cloud applications.
Automated joiner, mover and leaver workflows, event driven provisioning, federated single sign on (SSO), and organisation wide multi factor authentication (MFA) streamlined access while enhancing security. Role based access control (RBAC), identity data remediation, and access governance improved visibility, compliance, and operational efficiency.
The programme was completed through a phased migration approach with automated audit reporting and a sustainable operating model, enabling the university to retire its legacy identity platform and support future growth with a secure, scalable identity foundation.
