Global analytics and decisioning provider needed to upgrade its identity infrastructure. Their on-premises OpenAM 10 + OpenDJ implementation had reached end-of-support, creating security and operational risks. With over 250 enterprise customers depending on the system, the migration required a carefully planned phased approach to ensure zero disruption.

- Outdated OpenAM 10 + OpenDJ platform requiring urgent upgrade.
- Supporting 250+ enterprise customers with no disruption.
- A “big bang” migration was not feasible due to flow complexity.
- Requirement to run OpenAM and Ping AIC in parallel during migration.
Trevonix, in partnership with Ping Identity, designed a phased migration strategy to ensure business continuity:
- Migrated to Ping AIC from OpenAM with minimal disruption to customer journeys.
- Implemented multiple models: session/token management, policy enforcement, federation, and SSO.
- Built a phased migration approach, keeping OpenAM and Ping AIC running simultaneously.
- Utilized Ping Gateway to route customers during migration.
- Deployed backend user store sync to ensure uninterrupted customer experience.
