BankX, a forward-thinking financial institution, partnered with Ping Identity and Trevonix Technologies to build its digital identity program. The initiative aimed to build verifiable credential issuance, decentralized identity and demonstrate diverse use cases across Retail, Wealth, and Commercial & Institutional (C&I) banking, while enabling secure, seamless user experiences and aligning with evolving regulatory and technological standards.
The strategic goal was to build a highly secure and reliable digital wallet, seamlessly integrating Ping’s decentralized identity capabilities into the existing BankX ecosystem including PingFederate, PingDirectory, PingOne Credentials, and third-party services like DAON.

BankX aimed to revolutionize its customer identity management through decentralized identity and verifiable credentials. However, the transformation required overcoming several critical challenges across operational, technical, and strategic dimensions. Fragmented and centralized identity verification systems and credential flows.
Limited credential reusability across diverse business lines. Absence of zero-knowledge proof and selective disclosure mechanisms.
Need for multi-sector integration (Retail, C&I, Wealth) with strong identity assurance.
Need for compliance with emerging global identity standards (OIDC4VC, OIDC4IDA).
To address the identity-related challenges faced by BankX, Trevonix Technologies collaborated with Ping Identity to develop and deploy a decentralized identity framework built around the Ping Neo Wallet. The objective was to create a standards-compliant, interoperable, and privacy-focused solution capable of scaling across various business units. This approach aimed to ensure strong regulatory compliance while providing a smooth and seamless user experience.
- Deployed PingOne Neo wallet within a mock BankX mobile app.
- Enabled credential reuse across Retail, Wealth, and C&I through the Ping Neo Wallet.
- Integrated Zero-Knowledge Proofs and Selective Disclosure for privacy-preserving authentication.
- Delivered sector-specific identity flows with seamless IAM integration across all business lines.
- Aligned the solution with OIDC4VC and OIDC4IDA standards for future regulatory compliance.
- Developed a phased approach for pilot deployment and testing.

The proof-of-concept implementation established a unified, scalable, and privacy-centric identity framework across BankX’s divisions. Replacing fragmented systems with a decentralized platform improved user experience through credential reusability and reduced verification friction. The use of Zero-Knowledge Proofs and Selective Disclosure enhanced data protection and compliance.
Sector-specific flows streamlined operations, and standard alignment positioned BankX for future interoperability.
The centralized approach boosted operational efficiency, reduced costs, and created opportunities for credential monetization and auditability. Extensive training, documentation, and SDK support empowered internal teams for long-term sustainability and innovation.
