At Trevonix, we are looking for an experienced AI DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology and innovation team supporting enterprise initiatives for NatWest. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in DevOps, cloud-native engineering, open-source technologies, and modern AI ecosystems who are passionate about building scalable, secure, and intelligent platforms.

As an AI DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting AI-driven applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Java, Python, microservices architecture, containerisation, and DevOps practices, along with a solid understanding of modern AI architectures and frameworks including MCP, RAG, LLMs, agent frameworks, and AI development tooling.

You will work closely with engineering, architecture, and AI teams to build robust and scalable enterprise solutions while driving automation, operational excellence, and innovation across the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

‍

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable AI-enabled applications and DevOps infrastructure
• Build and support microservices-based applications using Java and Python
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for enterprise deployments and automation workflows
• Work with containerisation and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Support cloud-native application deployment, monitoring, and operational management
• Collaborate with AI and engineering teams to integrate LLMs, RAG architectures, MCP components, and agent frameworks into enterprise solutions
• Contribute to the design and implementation of AI architecture and supporting infrastructure
• Work with AI development tools, editors, and open-source frameworks
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application-related issues across environments
• Implement DevOps best practices including automation, observability, logging, and security
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate across cross-functional teams
• Provide regular updates to project leads and stakeholders
• Drive innovation, optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

‍

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, or platform engineering
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Python, and microservices-based architectures
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipeline development
• Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and containerisation technologies
• Experience with cloud-native platforms and distributed systems
• Good understanding of AI architectures and ecosystems
• Exposure to MCP, RAG, LLMs, AI agent frameworks, and AI development tooling
• Experience working with open-source technologies and frameworks
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Self-organised with the ability to independently manage integrations and technical deliverables

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to OpenShift Platform
• Familiarity with AI orchestration and agentic workflows
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk or Prometheus
• Knowledge of Linux systems, shell scripting, and networking concepts
• Experience working with Vault integrations and secure secret management
• Understanding of Git Flow branching strategies
• Exposure to AI security and governance best practices
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
